Galilee in Roman times. People from Galilee

Galilee is the Northern part of contemporary Israel.

In 108 BC it was conquered by John Hyrcanus and added to the kingdom of Judea.
This lasted to the death of Herod the Great in 4 BC. Galilee became a separate tetrarchy under Herod Antipas
From 37-44 AD it was again combined with Judea under king Herod Agrippa.
In 66 Galilee revolted together with Judea, against the Romans.
It was soon conquered
