They lived in the northern part of Holland. They still live there but in a much smaller area. In 12 AD they were submitted by Drusus In 28 they revolted and defeated the Romans near the Baduhennawood. From 47 on they were practically independent. Verritus and Malorix visited Rome to get a larger area, but Nero refused it.
